Open Position: Registered Nurse (RN)- Full Time

Responsibilities: Under administrative direction of the Associate Director of Nursing Services, the Registered Nurse provides general nursing care to patients including but not limited to administration of prescribed medications and treatments, triage daily patient related telephone calls and assist staff physicians in delivering patient care.

Education & Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid New York State license. At least three (3) years experience working in a hospital or clinic setting required. Spanish speaking strongly preferred. Excellent written/oral communication and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities: Conducts new client interviews to assess, develop and implement an individualized plan, as described in Community Services Intake protocol. Orients clients to services available. Makes referrals to supportive community agencies and coordinates services. Documents within the progress notes, activities on behalf of individual clients. Maintains ongoing assessment of client’s evolving needs and implements services or referrals in response. Assumes role of advocate for the client. Completes all service plans and assessments. Secures translation and sign language interpretation services as needed.

Responsibilities: Responsible for achieving fund raising goals, coordinating and growing charitable donations, including the annual giving program, major gifts from individuals, and management of the donor database. Also coordinate, plan, and oversee execution of all agency fund-raising events.

Education & Experience: 5-plus years experience in development. Bachelor’s Degree in business, Master’s Degree preferred. Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills. Proven track record of achieving revenue targets. Positive attitude; attention to detail; initiative; professional. Open Position: Grant Writer

Responsibilities: Position available starting January 1, 2010. Responsibilities: Identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as coordinate the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to third party funding organizations (public and private) to support the organization’s objectives.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree; minimum of two years experience with grant writing and non-profit fundraising. Strong written communication skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals. Please submit salary requirements with all inquiries.

Open Position: Pharmacist-Full-Time

Responsibilities: Participates in the day to day operation of the Pharmacy activities. These activities include, but are not limited to prescription processing, customer service, appropriate ordering of pharmaceuticals and supplies, and accurate patient and 3rd Party billing. Performs direct supervision over all pharmacy support personnel, and fulfills the role of Pharmacy Director in his/her absence. Performs direct clinical pharmacy functions including dispensing, patient counseling, and clinical drug monitoring.

Education & Experience: Pharmacist D., current New York State Pharmacist License, experience with HIV/AIDS preferred.

Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer! AIDS Community Health Center relies heavily on our dedicated volunteers to help us with administrative support, program support and fund raising events. We hope that one of these options interests you:

1. Administrative Support
Volunteers support AIDS Community Heath Center by donating their daytime, weekday hours performing clerical duties such as data entry, filing and copying. Our office is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9 AM - 5 PM and Tuesday 9 AM - 7 PM. If you are interested in volunteering in our office, please contact Adrienne Jophlin at ajophlin@achcRochester.org or at 585-244-9000.

2. Program Support
Program volunteers assist Community Services with outreach, which could consist of representing AIDS Community Health Center at a Health Fair or outreach event, or assisting the outreach team during street outreach. If you are interested in helping with our outreach effort, please contact Lucia Colindres at lcolindres@achcRochester.org or by phone at 585-244-9000.

3. Fund-Raising Events
AIDS Community Health Center conducts several fund-raising events every year. Many volunteers are needed to help work on planning the event and to help on the day of the event with such tasks as registration, checkout, set-up, teardown, etc. If you are interested in helping with one of our events, please contact Mary Beth Lowery at 585-244-9000 or at mlowery@achcRochester.org.
